The Celtics got revenge on the Atlanta Hawks 121-109 on Friday night after losing to them on Wednesday. The Pelicans weren’t as fortunate losing 132-114 to the Phoenix Suns in their last game also on Friday night. New Orleans was outscored 41-12 in the fourth quarter of that loss.
The Celtics have won three of the last four meetings between the teams but it was the Pelicans winning the last one 123-108 on January 26, 2020. In this matchup, the Celtics are 2.5-point favorites and there are plenty of player props to consider.

Kemba Walker Looks Healthy
Kemba Walker was inactive for the first eleven games of this season. When he finally returned, he was on a minute restriction which obviously put a ceiling on his production. At this point, the minute restriction is gone and Walker is back to producing at a high level. In his past four games, he looks more like the Kemba Walker we’ve grown accustomed to seeing.

Walker doesn’t take as many shots per game as he did in his heyday with the Charlotte Hornets but he still takes his fair share. Even with the emergence of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Walker is still averaging 15 shot attempts per contest. He is heavily involved in the Celtics offense and can still pop off for 20 plus attempts in any game.

There is only one team in the NBA that is worse in the defensive efficiency metric than the New Orleans Pelicans. They make a habit out of getting torched by opposing guards as we have seen them give up 40 plus points to a single guard three times in the last six games. The Celtics scoring should be spread out between Tatum, Brown and Walker but that shouldn’t stop Walker from going over 20 points.
The Pick: Kemba Walker Over 19.5 Points (-128)
Kemba Can Dial it Up From Deep
Kemba Walker may not be the first name that comes up when thinking of the great three-point shooters in the league but maybe he should. He’s a 36% career shooter from behind the arc which isn’t great but it’s serviceable. One thing that is noticeable is that he takes more than twice as many threes on a per game basis as he did in his first couple years in the league.
Kemba Walker just made the 1,500th 3-pointer of his career. He's the 37th player in NBA history to reach that mark.

Only one team in the NBA is worse at defending the three-ball than the Pelicans this season. They allow opponents to drain 39.8% of their three-point attempts. In his last four games, Walker has taken at least eight threes in three of those games and seven in the other. He hit at least three of those attempts in each game. The matchup is right for him to do it again on Sunday.
The Pick: Kemba Walker Over 2.5 Three Pointers Made (-138)
