Odds to Win Final Four Most Outstanding Player
Odds via DraftKings.
A pair of Gonzaga teammates top the oddsboard to win the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award on Monday night when the Bulldogs look to finish their undefeated season against Baylor.
Drew Timme is the even-money favorite ahead of teammate Jalen Suggs (+125). Davion Mitchell is the top available Baylor player on the board at +300.
It’s no surprise to see Gonzaga with the top two options considering the Bulldogs are 4.5-point favorites and -200 on the moneyline. Every Most Outstanding Player winner since 1984 has come from the winning team.
Timme has been the most consistent player for Gonzaga, even if it’s Suggs who holds the moment of the tournament thus far. Timme has scored at least 22 points in every game since the Zags’ opening-round win over Norfolk State when he finished with just 10. He has a signature moment of his own in the path to the championship game with his charge at the end of regulation to force overtime against UCLA.
Suggs doesn’t have the scoring numbers of Timme — he’s scored 18 once and 16 twice — but his all-around play has been impressive. He scored 16 points with six assists and five rebounds in the Final Four against UCLA after nearly posting a triple-double against USC.
If Baylor wins, Mitchell is the favorite to take the award. He’s scored at least 12 points in every game this tournament and has posted at least six assists three times, including 11 against Houston.
Timme was +500 to win the award entering the tournament behind teammate and overall favorite Corey Kispert, who is now +1500. Suggs sat at +800.
Jared Butler had the best odds for the Bears at +600 prior to the tournament.
