The third and final round of group stage play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup is underway and Panama and Grenada help close out Group D on Tuesday night. The two countries are playing at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando in a match that will honestly just decide the bottom of the Group D table.
Currently, Honduras and Qatar have a solid lead in the qualifying spots on six and four points, respectively. Theoretically, Panama are still alive as they could qualify with a win in addition to a Qatar loss and a five-goal swing on goal differential.

Panama to Finish a Disappointing Gold Cup
Firstly, even if Panama do pull out the needed three points against Grenada, there is a more than likely chance they still do not advance. That unfortunate outcome is completely on the shoulders of the Panama players.
Surely, Panama and Thomas Christiansen had a difficult group, facing the likes of Qatar and Honduras. Both of those sides are ranked higher than them in the FIFA World Rankings, but ultimately in an international federation tournament, especially CONCACAF, those margins are thrown out the window.

Panama battled back three times against Qatar with two goals from Rolando Blackburn and a penalty conversion from Eric Davis. It was a commendable performance and one they can hang their hat on.
Regardless, their match against Honduras, which was basically a must-win was a shameful performance. Los Canaleros held the lead going into halftime and literally bottled the game 20 minutes into the second half, finding themselves trailing 3-2.

Ultimately, this is why they find themselves in this nearly impossible situation. This final match against Grenada will probably result in a win, but overall it will just be a sad consolation for Panama.
Grenada are Playing for Pride
For Michael Findlay and Grenada, they already find themselves eliminated from the knockout phases. The Spice Boys have battled through two difficult 4-0 defeats to Honduras and Qatar but will look for something positive in this match.
Grenada International left back Benjamin Ettienne is among the youngest players in this #GoldCup21. The 18-years-old played 80' minutes of much fight and dedication versus Honduras in their match openner.

This is not Grenada’s first time at the Gold Cup, but it is the first journey for this current group of players. Not much was expected of them at the Gold Cup, but they will want to leave this match against Panama knowing they can kick it with the best in CONCACAF.

In turn, success for Grenada should at least be getting on the score sheet by the end of the 90 minutes. A win might be too much to expect, but these players truly wear their hearts on their sleeves so do expect them to go out and give this one a go.
Jamal Charles has been quiet so far in the first two group stage matches but I think he will be able to find a chink in the armor of this Panama defense.

The Goal Difference Situation
Furthermore, because of the circumstances of this match, the scoreline could get quite ridiculous. Grenada desperately want to score, and Panama epically need a shift in their goal difference as it is the first tiebreaker.
In turn, Panama have to get on the front foot and score some goals. While their defense has been shaky, they have had little trouble putting the ball in the back of the net so far. Blackburn will lead the line upfront while Alberto Quintero offers himself as a valuable scoring option on the right-hand side.
Panama vs Grenada Best Bet
Overall, the best bet for this match is the over on 4.5 total goals with odds of +170. It sounds a little extreme but it has great value and has hit both times for Panama so far.
If Grenada can manage to also get on the score sheet, the odds of this happening becomes even more likely.
Pick: Over 4.5 total goals (+170)
