The 3 Best Thanksgiving NFL Props to Bet – Including Bears vs Lions, Cowboys vs Raiders and Bills vs Saints

  • Week 12 of the 2021 NFL season will kick off with three games on Thanksgiving Day beginning at 12:30pm ET
  • Player props are always and exciting way to get into the action and there are plenty to choose from Thursday
  • See our favorite best prop bets below

Three games line the NFL board for Thanksgiving Day which should keep bettors busy for at least 12 hours. Stuffing your face with food and your pockets with cash is a tradition like no other. We been doing it since we were kids and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.

The day will be kicked off by the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears which could be one of the worst Thanksgiving Day matchups in recent memory. The two teams have three wins between them and will both be led by backup quarterbacks. This one is tailor made for gamblers, mainly prop bettors.

The Las Vegas Raiders vs Dallas Cowboys matchup at 4:30pm EST on CBS figures to be a step up in entertainment value if anything. Both of those teams are looking to get back on track and both teams have weapons to do so.

Finally we’ll see the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints at 8:20pm ET on NBC to finish us off. Both teams are in rapid decline but both are still players in the NFL playoff race.  There are plenty of player props to choose from all three games but I’ve narrowed down my choices to three.

Cole Kmet is a Beast

There are probably plenty of people that are celebrating the news of Matt Nagy *potentially* coaching his final game for the Chicago Bears on Thursday. Fans, players, everybody. You have to be pretty bad at your job to be the first coach in over 100 years of operation to get fired by the Bears mid-season. Trust me, Nagy is deserving.

One guy I know that has to happy is Cole Kmet.

Imagine having a 6’6″ beast of a human being on your team and not throwing him the ball. That’s literally what happened last week. Kmet was only targeted twice after being looked to eight times the week before. It was sickening.

I don’t think that will happen again this week. Detroit has given up 535 receiving yards to the tight end position this season. If I had to guess, I’d say Kmet gets at least five targets Thursday and goes over his receiving yard total.

  • The Pick: Cole Kmet Over 36.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115) – Wager 1.15 units to win 1 unit

Pollard Gashes the Raiders

Everybody knows about Ezekiel Elliott but every time I watch the Cowboys, Tony Pollard jumps off the screen. I won’t say he’s better than Elliott but he’s a lot closer than people think. The guy can flat out run the football. He’s fast, he’s tough and he’s smart which is a deadly combination.

We all saw what he did last week against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dallas will be missing their top two wideouts Thursday but that’s not necessarily a problem. For starters, their defense is good enough to slow down a declining Raiders’ offense. On top of that, if they want to lean on the run game, they can with backs like Elliott and Pollard.

I would expect both backs to see double digit carries especially if the game stays close or the Cowboys play with a lead. Pollard has seen double digit carries six times this season and has gone over 39.5 in all of those games. He should do it again on Thursday.

  • The Pick: Tony Pollard Over 39.5 rushing + rushing yards (-115) – Wager 1.15 units to win 1 unit

Is Zack Moss Still on the Bills?

Zack Moss is a beast. Let’s not get it twisted. He’s a 5’9″ bowling ball that can run through a wall when he gets going downhill. It’s just that the Bills don’t run the ball much and when they do, Devin Singletary is also in the fold. At least that was the case until a couple weeks ago.

If you watched the last couple Bills’ games, you would have to be blind to have missed Matt Breida.

When asked about Breida on Wednesday, Bills’ head coach, Sean McDermott, said that the running back has earned more touches. As a Zack Moss guy, that hurt my feelings. We already saw Moss only play 29% of the snaps last Sunday, now it could be even less on Thursday.

To make matters worse for the Zack Moss fan club, the Bills are playing the New Orleans Saints Thursday night. Only one team in the NFL has given up fewer rushing yards to opponents this season than the Saints. They were gashed last week by the Philadelphia Eagles but that might just make them more focused this week. Either way, Thursday night does not look promising for Zack Moss.

  • The Pick: Zack Moss Under 21.5 rushing yards (-114) – Wager 1.14 units to win 1 unit
  • SBD 2021 NFL Player Prop Record – 19-20 +.47 Units
