The Padres (91-74, 47-37 road) took two of three from the Mets in the National League Wild Card Series last weekend, including notching a 6-0 victory in Game 3 on Sunday night in New York. San Diego has won four of its last six games overall.

The Dodgers (111-51, 57-24 home) had a bye into the NLDS and last played Oct. 5 when they beat the visiting Colorado Rockies 6-1 in their regular season finale. That ended a three-game losing streak for Los Angeles, which has won eight of its last 12 games.

San Diego vs Los Angeles Probable Pitchers

Mike Clevinger (7-7, 4.33) is scheduled to start for the Padres against left-hander Julio Urias (17-7, 2.16). Clevinger will be pitching on nine days of rest and Urias on six days.

Clevinger pitched well at the end of the regular season, going 2-0 with a 3.45 ERA in his last three starts.

He had a no-decision in his last outing Oct. 1 against the Chicago White Sox in San Diego. In six innings, Clevinger allowed one run on three hits while striking out three and walking none.

Clevinger was placed on the COVID-19 injured list last Wednesday but activated two days later.

Clevinger has made four career starts against the Dodgers and is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA. He has lost both outings at Dodger Stadium with an 11.25 ERA.

Clevinger has no career record in two postseason starts and six relief appearances. His ERA is 4.15.

In 14 games (13 starts) on the road this season, Clevinger has a 4-4 record and 5.46 ERA. He is 6-3 with a 3.44 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) at night. The Padres have a 15-7 record when Clevinger starts.

This will be the sixth postseason start and 23^rd appearance of Urias’ career. He has gone 7-3 with a 3.52 ERA.

Urias has gone 6-3 with a 2.43 ERA in 14 starts at home this season. At night, he has a 14-4 record and 1.94 ERA in 22 starts. The Dodgers are 21-10 when Urias gets the ball.
